The spinning top logo that has been adopted for our children's work carries a little message. We believe that children bring colour to our worship and activities, enriching them although they are often neither still nor quiet. They aren't simply tolerated but welcomed.

Junior Church

The Junior Church at St Chad’s makes the most of things. Some of its members are pictured right enjoying the spiritual atmosphere of the church in the depths of the night. Children are often more ready to encounter God than adults and the people of St Chad’s hand things over to the youngsters from time to time so that they can teach the adults a thing or two.
The red blobs in the picture were projected with a party light and spun around the church all night. The large screen in the background was used to show cartoons of the Gospels.
The St Chad’s Junior Church meets every Sunday morning at the same time as adult church. (11am) Anybody over 4 years of age is welcome (provision is made in adult church for toddlers and babies). On the first Sunday of each month Junior Church worships together with the adult church. On other Sundays it normally meets separately for a little time before joining the adults for Communion.
