As the government has now lifted the restriction on public worship in church, we are currently working towards restarting our church services.

Although we are now allowed to reopen, there are still strict regulations about reopening that we have to follow, in particular, challenging rules on cleaning before and after events. We are working towards this as quickly as we can, but our overriding priority is to make sure that everyone remains safe.

In the mean time, we will continue with our online Worship Services and Prayer Resources on Facebook and Youtube – please check our Facebook pages for the latest updates and our Youtube Channel.

Christenings and Weddings

Weddings should be able to happen in St. Chad’s from August, but with numbers attending restricted to 30, and with appropriate social distancing measures in place.

We are hoping to restart christenings by the autumn.

If you have urgent reasons for getting married or a child baptised (for example, you or someone close to you is very ill), then please do get in touch to discuss your options.

We are aiming to be able to restart funeral services in St. Chad’s later in July. Numbers attending will be limited to 30, with social distancing measure in place.

In the mean time, we can still take funerals at the graveside or in the crematorium.

When the crisis is over, we will work with families to provide memorial services in memory of your loved ones, so that everyone can attend, celebrate their lives, and pay their respects properly.

As we receive any further information, we will update this page.
