Children and Youth

We run a rich and varied programme of activities for children and young people in the parish. Here are some of the highlights:Spinning Top

Sunday mornings

St. Mark’s and St. Martin’s have toys, books and colouring activities for children during their morning services at 9:30am.

St. Andrew’s runs a Cool School and creche for children during the morning service from 11am.

St. Chad’s Junior Church meets in Centre 63 at 11am, then joins the Adult Church for Communion. Toys and activities for younger children are at the back of church.

Sunday afternoons

St. Andrew’s Kids’ Club meets once a month on the third Sunday, from 3-4:30pm. See the online calendar for more details.

The Groups with No Name meet once a fortnight for all young people aged 9+ who attend our other church services to have their own time and activities. We meet once a month altogether, and once a month in two age groups, 9-12 and 13+. Again, see the online calendar for more details.

Tuesday afternoons

After School Church takes place at St. Chad’s in term time from 3:45 – 4:15pm, with activites and refreshments before hand from 3:15pm. Fast moving, exciting, musical and interesting, this is an event for children and parents. (NB. Children must be accompanied by an adult).

Thursday evenings

St. Martin’s Kids’ Club meets from 6-7pm in term time for all primary school aged children. Games, music, video, craft, stories, etc. 50p / week.

Saturday mornings

St. Andrew’s Kids’ Club has sports sessions on the first Saturday of the month from 10-11:15am, with netball and football skills coaching from qualified coaches. See the online calendar for more details.

Annual Events

We also have various events and parties that happen annually, such as a Pancake Party, a Good Friday Activity Morning, two week-long Summer Holiday Clubs, a Light Night (alternative to Halloween) and a Christmas Party.
