St. Mark’s Church, Northwood

St MarksYou are very warmly invited to join us at St. Mark’s Church in Northwood, as the congregation there prepares to celebrate the life of the church. We are moving out of the building to pastures new, and are looking back to give thanks for the stories contained in the old building, and looking forward to the story that God is preparing us for in the future.

Bishop Paul Bayes is with us at 4pm, this Sunday, 20th March. Everyone is welcome – bring memories, stories, photos – and if you aren’t able to make it, we’d still love to hear from you.

Please keep us in your prayers as we look to the future in God’s hands.

My husband and I were married in St Marks on the 23rd December 1972. I will never forget the best day of my life made my confirmation there and have been happily married for nearly 44 years. Thank you and God bless x

I began my faith journey at St. Marks Sunday school. The vicars name was Mark at the time. (Approx 1980). I attended with my two siblings. I was later married at St. Marks and my first child was baptised there.
    Lovely memories.

I was an alter boy at St Marks in the late 1970s. The vicar was Mark (Bolen?). Today I was thinking about the church and what became of Mark. Does anyone know?

Hi Tony. Mark (Boyling) went on to become the Dean of Carlisle Cathedral, where he’s been for a number of years now.
